Description
Author and illustrator: Fiona McDonald
This is a beautiful story of two rabbits who are brother and sister and have to learn how to play together. Lily finds it hard to play with Leo who seems to prefer to be alone. In the story Lily is determined to find a way to play with him and she joyfully succeeds.
This book encourages children to think about difference, tolerance, and empathy. It is particularly suited to children who have a friend or family member on the autism spectrum. However, it could be used to support children to play with friends or family members with any type of additional needs. It would also be an ideal story to read to a class to encourage pupils to be inclusive when playing with each other.
